At Jumsphot Basketball Academy our players, parents and coaches health and safety is our utmost priority.

Entering the Gymnasium

1. We will be limiting the number of players entering into the gymnasium.
2. All players MUST sanitize their hands with provided alcohol based sanitizer prior to entering into the gymnasium. 
3. It is required to bring your own basketball however if you cannot obtain a basketball, we will provide you with a sanitized basketball. It is the players responsibility to ensure Jumpshot's basketball is fully sanitized prior to leaving the gymnasium.
4. All players and coaches will be required to wear protective masks in order to enter the facility. It is not required to wear face masks during class however it is recommended. If players feel more comfortable wearing a mask they are encouraged to do so. However, it is not required.
5. Players are to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of their class and will line up at the entrance of the gymnasium until the instructor allows you entry into the building.
6. All players should bring their own water bottle labeled with your name. There is no sharing of water bottles allowed. 
7. Due to the limited number of people allowed in the gymnasium, parents are required to please wait outside during classes.  ​

Exiting the Gymnasium

1. All players MUST sanitize their hands with provided alcohol based sanitizer prior to exiting the gymnasium.
2. It is the players responsibility to ensure any borrowed Jumpshot's sports equipment (i.e. basketball) is fully sanitized prior to leaving the gymnasium. 
3. The gymnasium will also have washrooms where players an coaches can wash their hands with soap and water. It is recommended to wash your hands with soap and water prior to class and after class.
4. Please leave the gym in a single line with proper distance between each other. Do not leave the gym bunched up together.

Players, Coaches or Parents Showing Symptoms

1. Any players, coaches or parents experiencing any form of flu or cold like symptoms are required to stay home an NOT attend classes. 
2. All parents, coaches and players will be asked prior to gymnasium entry if they are experiencing any flu or cold like symptoms.
3. If any players start to show any flu or cold like symptoms during classes, they will be immediately isolated from the other players and their parent(s) will be contacted to pick them up as soon as possible. Coaches are trained to wear all PPE when handling a player who may be showing symptoms. All parents will be notified by email if such an occurrence occurs.
4. Coaches have been advised to immediately leave the facility and follow BC Provincial Health Authority Protocol. 

Disinfection and Sanitization

1. ​All sports equipment will be sanitized by Jumpshot Academy prior to each class and after each class.
2. All high risk touch spots (door handles, knobs, bathroom doors, sink taps etc.) will be sanitized throughout the class by one of our staff members.
3. Any sports equipment belonging to Jumpshot Academy and brought in by players will be sanitized prior to entry into the building and after the class. 

Other COVID-19 Rules

1. Please do your best to keep your hands away from your face (nose, mouth and eyes), such as licking your fingers, sticking fingers in the mouth, picking at your nose and rubbing your eyes. ​
2. Do not bring outside food into the gymnasium.
3. ​Vaccinations are NOT mandatory to attend our classes.
   
4. If you have to cough or sneeze please use safe etiquette when doing so. Please cover your face if you must cough or sneeze. And then immediately sanitize or wash you hands - even if it means you must leave practice for a short period.
