THE TEAM - ABOUT US
Jumpshot Basketball Academy in Victoria BC Has a Wealth of Playing and Coaching Experience
Jumpshot Basketball Academy opened its door to the Victoria BC community in late 2022. We started our club with only 25 registrants back in 2022 in a tiny oak bay gym. Today with the help and trust from our dedicated coaches and players, our club on Vancouver Island excels well over 600 players per year. This basketball club was created by a father, with a dream, who wanted to give young men the opportunity to pursue their passion for basketball across the Island in an affordable way and to give back to the community, by removing the financial barriers associated with organized sport. Jumpshot Basketball Academy has managed to grow from 0 teams in 2022 - to over 10 teams in 2026 - in just less than three years (U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16 and U18).

We are committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment where every player can develop their skills, character, and passion for the game.

"I have self-doubt. I have insecurity. I have fear of failure. I have nights when I show up at the arena and I'm like, 'My back hurts, my feet hurt, my knees hurt. I don't have it. I just want to chill. We all have self-doubt. You don't deny it, but you also don't capitulate to it. You embrace it."    - Kobe Bryant

Jumpshot Basketball Academy Youth Basketball Classes in Victoria BC teaches how to win and lose and, most importantly, how to have FUN! The distraction of countless television channels, video games and web sites make it very difficult for kids to get out and just be allowed to be kids! "People have always doubted whether I was good enough to play this game at this level. I thought I was, and I thought I could be.
What other people thought was really always irrelevant to me."   -  Steve Nash
