​Customer (Parent & Player) Program Policies
At Jumpshot Basketball Academy, we are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all involved. This page outlines the enrolled customer, parents and players policies that guide our operations, ensuring the well-being and enjoyment of athletes, coaches, volunteers, clients, customers, parents of athletes and supporters alike. All enrolled customers, parents, visitors and players are required to understand and adhere to our company policies at all times while enrolled with Jumpshot Basketball Academy. By understanding and adhering to these policies, you help us build a positive and supportive basketball community for everyone. Non adherance to our company policies, while enrolled with Jumpshot Basketball Academy, will result in disciplinary action and up to permanent removal from our program.

Player Code of Conduct & Behavior Policy (in effect as of June 22, 2022; revision date January 01, 2026)
All players enrolled with Jumpshot Basketball Academy must adhere  to the following code of conduct and behavior policy:

Be respectful of other players, coaches and staff members at all times. Treat all other players like you would like to be treated.
Do not argue with the staff members or coaches.
Listen to Staff and Coaches at all times. When coaches and staff are speaking, you should be listening.
We will not tolerate disrespectful behavior, bullying, foul language, or violence of any sort towards our coaches or other players.
Any form of aggressive behavior, violence or bullying or harassment will not be tolerated and will result in immediate suspension from the camp without reimbursement.
There will be no foul language towards other players or staff members allowed at our camp.
When you hear the whistle signal, STOP what you are doing, put down all equipment, and listen for instructions.
Any player or person causing damage to the gymnasium, or any school property shall be held accountable to reimburse Jumpshot Basketball Academy, in full, for all repair and/or replacement expenses arising from such conduct prior to subsequent participation at the school/gymnasium.
There will be no form of teasing, making fun or bullying of other players or staff members.
Players are NOT allowed to leave the gymnasium or school property at anytime except for bathroom breaks, unless accompanied by their parent and/or gaurdian.
Parent/Customer Code of Conduct & Behavior Policy (in effect as of June 22, 2022; revision date January 01, 2026)
​All parents, gaurdians and/or customers enrolled with Jumpshot Basketball Academy must adhere to the following code of conduct and behavior policy:

Be a positive role model for your child (and other children) and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy, and by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials and spectators at every game, practice or other sporting event.
You will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player, or customer/parent such as booing and taunting; refusing to shake hands; verbal or physical threats; or using profane language or gestures.
Lead by example and respect all players, coaches, referees and spectators. You will respect the coaches and staff and their authority during games and will never question, discuss, or confront coaches at the game, and will take time to speak with coaches privately at an agreed upon time and place if you have an issue or concern.
Physical or verbal abuse towards our coaches, program managers, owners, players, other parents/customers will not be tolerated.
Never publicly criticize referees or coaches – raise personal concerns with the program managers in private.
Don’t use negative remarks based on race, religion, gender or ability. Discrimination will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from our program with zero refunds.
Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are not allowed on Jumpshot Basketball Academy buildings and/or grounds at any time.
You will not engage, or encourage your child or any other person to engage, in any behavior which would endanger the health, safety or well being of any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee.
You will never ridicule or yell at your child or other players for making a mistake or losing a competition.
You will not initiate, and will not tolerate your child initiating a verbal or physical fight, abuse, negative comments or scuffle with any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee.
You will treat, and insure your child treats, any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee with respect regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, game play or ability.
Enrolling, Joining, Participation & Leaving Policy
Jumpshot Basketball Academy is youth basketball club and runs 8 week youth skills camps for boys ages 5 to 18 year olds; throughout the year in summer, spring, fall and winter.
Enrollment process to join and participate in our basketball 8 week skills camps is open to the public, where any parent or player can enroll in our basketball program, by registering through our online registration process from our website.
Selection process to join our tournament teams is strictly done by our coaches and program managers. Joining our 8 week skills camp does not guarantee a spot on our tournament teams. All players wanting to join our toruanment teams must be selected to play by our coaches and program managers. See policy  for further information.
At no time are players, parents, visitors or customers obligated, co-herced or required to join and/or participate in our basketball program.
Enrolling and participation in our basketball program is strictly voluntary by our customers choice where they can enroll in our skills camps through the online registration payment option from our website; for each 8 week camp.
If a player, parent, customer or visitor is currently registered with our basketball program but does not want to participate in our basketball program any further; they can decide to leave our basketball program at anytime and do not have to re-register with our seasonal 8 week camps in the future which runs in winter, summer, fall and spring of every year.
Consequences of Non Adeherance to Company Policies
Any players, parents, customers, clients or visitors found to be in violation of any of Jumpshot Basketball Academy company policies or code of conduct will face disciplinary actions, including verbal warning, written warning, suspension from our basketball program or permanent removal from our basketball program. This includes, but is not limited to, violations of our anti-bullying, anti-harassment, or any of our company business policies.
Disciplinary Action Policy
Customers, parents, players or visitors who fail to follow our company policies while enrolled with Jumpshot Basketball Academy and found in any violation of our rules, procedures and policies may result in the following disciplinary action levels by our program manager and owner(s), however, not every situation requires following each level of disciplinary action in order. In some cases, which will be decided by our program manager(s) and owner(s), immediate and permenant removal from our basketball program may occur.

First Offence: Will result in a written warning from any of the program managers or owner(s). This letter (written with warning) will be put into the customers, parents or players personal file. 
Second Offence: Will result in suspension from our basketball program. The amount of “days suspended” from our basketball program will depend on the nature of the infraction and decided by our program manager(s) and/or owner(s).
Third Offence: Will result in immediate and permanent removal from our basketball program.
Calling, Texting and Emailing Company Staff or Customers Policy
Parents, customers and players shall not text message any of our coaches or program managers on their personal cellular phone numbers or through any 3rd party app (i.e. whatsapp) at anytime.
Parents, customers and players shall not email, message or communciate in writing through any 3rd party cellular phone app or through any form of social media (i.e. whatsapp, instagram, facebook, linkedin, tiktok, youtube, snapchat or X) any of our coaches, staff or program managers.
Parents, customers and players can email our our coaches, program managers or owners through our company email ([email protected]) or through their personal email addresses.
Parents, customers and players can call our our coaches, program managers or owners through their personal cellular phone numbers.

Coaches, staff and program managers shall not text message any of customers (parents or players) on their personal cellular phone numbers or through any 3rd party app (i.e. whatsapp) at anytime.
Coaches, staff and program managers shall not email, message or communicate in writing through any 3rd party cellular phone app or through any form of social media (i.e. whatsapp, instagram, facebook, linkedin, tiktok, youtube, snapchat or X) with any parents, customers or players.
Coaches, staff and program managers can email our customers and parents through our company email ([email protected]) or their personal email addresses; to the personal emails of parents or customers.
Coaches, staff and program managers can call our customers and parents through their personal cellular phone numbers.
Refund Policy​
​Players or parents wishing to withdraw from our basketball program(s) may do so up to three (3) weeks before the scheduled start date of the program and/or before the registration deadline date (if stated) for a full refund less $50 registration fee (non-refundable). Programs include seasonal 8 week skills camps.
In case of serious illness or injury to a registered participant which will not allow them to participate in the 8 week camps; a doctor's note must accompany a refund request.
If for any reason we do not have enough players enrolled for a specific age group and classes cannot commence (i.e. skills classes), a full refund will be provided to all registrants or the option of practicing with the older age group will be provided.
Refunds WILL NOT be provided if you cancel during the actual progression of the 8 week skills camp classes. There is NO refund once the program(s) has started, unless due to an injury where the player cannot participate. Future credits will be provided only.
We do not provide refunds for missed classes.
If COVID-19 or other pandemic provincial guidelines change in the future, to the extent that we can no longer run our camp programming, we will be providing pro-rated credits to players for future classes. 
Any player, parent, visitor or customer found in violation of any our company policies which results in permanent removal from our basketball program; will not be provided a refund.
Tournament Team Selection Process Policy
Jumpshot Basketball Academy develops boys tournaments teams on a yearly basis for certain age groups.
The developent of teams can only be finalized if enough players are available to develop a full team.
Tournament team player selection is determined by our coaches and program manager(s) only. Players will be selected and invited to play on our tournament teams by our coaches and program managers(s) only.
Players who are selected to play on our tournaments can accept the invitation to play or refuse the invitiation to play on our teams.
Players and parents cannot, verbally or in writing, demand for their player to play on our tournament teams. Players and parents can verbally or in writing request for their player to be considered for the tournament team selection process.
Payment for our 8 week skills camp does not automatically guarantee a spot on our tournament team roster. Players must showcase their skills at our skills camp and/or be invited to our touranment team tryouts; and if their skill level meets with our tournament team programs and coaches expectations, players may be selected to play on our tournament teams.
Players who are not selected to play on our tournament teams but show an interest to join, will get ample opportunity to work on their skills at our skills camp and improve their chances of being selected to play on our tournament teams. We encourage players to keep working hard at our skills camp as all our coaches are always observing for player improvement.
Jumpshot Basketball Academy follows the following criteria when selecting tournament team players and determining playing time during each game time performance::
excellent ability to score the ball on a consistent basis,
excellent ability to dribble the ball without losing control,
excellent ability to pass the ball accurately to their target,
excellent ability to catch the ball and have control of the ball when the ball is passed to them,
excellent ability to control the ball on a consisent basis without having it stripped from them from their opponent,
fouls drawn against in a game,
excellent ability to play strong defense and be able to keep up with their opponent(s),
excellent court IQ and decision making ability,
excellent ability to rebound and have control of the ball,
excellent ability to have consistent speed on the court and be able to keep up with offense and defense play,
excellent ability to steal the ball from an opponent,
excellent ability to obtain a loose ball before their opponent does,
excellent ability to understand the rules of the game without causing turnovers (i.e. bad passing, stepping out of bounds, traveling, double dribble, over and back etc.)
Players who are currently on our tournament team rosters are expected to keep their roster position by following the above game time criteria in all games. Players who do not meet with our game time perforamnce expectations will have reduced playing time or possible removal from our rosters due to consistent unsatisfactory game time performance; until coaches observe future improvement at practices.
Parents of players who were not selected to join our tournament teams can request a written reasoning from our coaches or programs manager(s) as to why their player was not selected or why their player was removed from the roster.
Parents of players who were not selected to join our tournament teams cannot in writing or verbally demand for their player to be put on or put back on our team rosters. Any negative behavior of this nature will result in removal from our basketball program.
Player Attendance and Punctuality Policy
Players are expected to attend all practices and games on a consistence basis and on time.
Consistent lateness or unexcused absences from practices or scheduled games will be documented by our coaches and program managers(s) and will result in reduced playing time or possible removal from the team roster.
Parent/Customer Sideline Coaching and Conduct Policy
Our coaches and program managers bring knowledge and experience that shape the Jumpshot Basketball program and culture.
Parents/guardians/customers and/or visitors will not verbally coach, instruct, or interfere from the sidelines during practices or scheduled games.
Disrespect, negative comments, interference or undermining the coaches coaching ability or authority will not be tolerated. These types of violations will result in immediate removal of your player’s roster spot and will result in removal from our basketball program.
Player Playing Time Policy
All players playing on any of our tournament teams must be selected to play on our teams by our coaches and program manager(s).
Playing time during games for each rostered player isn't a right; it is a priviledge that is earned by the player.
Playing time during games for each rostered player is not equal. Playing time for each player during games, is determined by our coaches based on game effort, game attitude, game skill ability, court IQ level and most importantly game performance.
Lack of effort during game times and practices, poor attitude during game times or practices, unsatisfactory game performance and/or missed games and practices will directly reduce playing time.
Any parent, customer or visitor who is non-agreement, undermines, abuses or redicules the decision of our coaches in regards to a players playing time will result in immediate removal from our basketball program.

Unsatisfactory Game Time Performance Policy
​Our game time coaches will have full authority and decision making ability to determine which tournament players will obtain more playing time in each particular game.
Jumpshot Basketball Academy follows the following criteria when selecting tournament team players and determining playing time during each game time performance::
excellent ability to score the ball on a consistent basis,
excellent ability to dribble the ball without losing control,
excellent ability to pass the ball accurately to their target,
excellent ability to catch the ball and have control of the ball when the ball is passed to them,
excellent ability to control the ball on a consisent basis without having it stripped from them from their opponent,
fouls drawn against in a game,
excellent ability to play strong defense and be able to keep up with their opponent(s),
excellent court IQ and decision making ability,
excellent ability to rebound and have control of the ball,

Player lack of effort during game times and practices, poor attitude during game times or practices, unsatisfactory game performance and/or missed games and practices will directly reduce playing time and possible removal from our team roster.
Any parent, customer or visitor who is non-agreement, undermines, abuses or redicules the decision of our coaches in regards to a players playing time will result in immediate removal from our basketball program.
Player Team Support and Attitude Policy
All selected tournament team players are expected to support their teammates at all times. Encouragement, positivity, and commitment to team goals are mandatory from all selected tournament team players.
Negative body language, negative verbal language or disrespect, or a poor attitude will not be tolerated. Coaches reserve the right to remove you from a game, sit you for extended periods, or suspend your roster spot if these behaviors occur.
Game Time Coaching Selection Policy
Qualified coaches for each competition game will be selected by the program manager(s) and owner(s) of Jumpshot Basketball Academy only.
Jumpshot Basketball Academy may request a parent, customer or visitor to volunteer as a team coach if needed. The parent, customer or visitor can accept the volunteer coach opportunity for a particular game or deny the request.
Players, parents, visitors or customers cannot coach a Jumpshot Basketball Academy competition game or practice without the approval by the program manager(s) of Jumpshot Basketball Academy.
Any parent, customer or visitor who interferes, verbally expresses negative comments, interferes with the selection process of our coaches during each game or undermines the coaches coaching ability or authority, will result in removal of your player from our roster and immediate removal from our basketball program.
Player Concussion Policy
Concussion is a traumatic brain injury that results in a disturbance of brain function. Some of the most common signs and symptoms of concussion include headaches, vomiting, dizziness, memory impairment or loss of balance. Concussion can be caused by a direct blow to the head, but can also occur in whiplash type injuries, where a blow to another body part results in rapid movement to the head. Concussions can happen to anyone at any age. However, children and adolescent athletes are more susceptible to concussion and they take longer to recover from concussion-related injuries.
If there is any suspicion of a player concussion during practice or games, it is critical for our coaches to immediately remove the player from all our basketball activities or game competition.
No player suspected of having a concussion will return to play without first being evaluated and cleared by an independent medical professional who specializes in concussion management.
A written and signed letter, from a independant medical professional, will be required clearing the player to be fully healthy, concussion symptom free and in full excellent physical capacity/ability in order to re-join our basketball activities or game competition.
Gynamsium Food & Liquid Policy
No Food is allowed inside the gymnasium where we hold our practices, due to possible food residue, containers or wrappers etc being left behind.
There is absolutely no gum chewing allowed inside of the gymnasium where we hold our practices - period.
No open liquid containers such as coffee or soda drink cups with lids are allowed inside the gymnasium. Only water in closed containers (i.e water bottles). A
All parents and players have to ensure the gym is kept clean before use, during use and after use. And we have to ensure we do not fill up their garbage cans or recycling bins with our things - as it is not fair to the janitorial staff on Monday mornings.
This policy must be strictly adhered to at all times. Parents or players observed not adhering to the policy will be asked to leave the gym. Consisent violation of the policy will result in removal from our basketball program.
Camp Registration Fee Policy
​Our 8 week skills camp which runs throughout the year in summer, spring, winter and fall; has a set regisration fee of $299.80 + GST per 8 week camp.
This enrollment and registration fee is subject to an increase at the start of any camp without any notice to customers. 
The current registration fee of $299.80 + GST allows each player to participate in our 8 week skills camp for players ages 5 to 18 which is held on Sundays only.
This fee allows each player to particpate in 8 sessions per camp and only in their partcular age group class every Sunday.
Only players who have paid the registration fee for each 8 week camp are eligible to participate in any of our basketball program activities. The registration fee must be paid in full at least 24 hours prior to the start of each 8 week camp session.
If the 8 week camp has commenced and players have not paid the registration fee, the player will not be eligible to partipate in any Jumpshot Basketball Academy activities until the registration fee is paid in full.
Game Time Uniforms & Deposit Policy
Jumpshot Basketball Academy's game time uniforms are the private property of Jumpshot Basketball Academy which entails our company name and logo on both the jersey tops and shorts (and is a reversible uniform with two color patterns).
Jumpshot Basketball Academy game time uniforms, both jersey and shorts, will be provided to players who are selected to play on our tournament teams only.
A $75.00 uniform deposit will be required and is mandatory from each player or parent at the time the uniform is provided to you.
This deposit will be fully refundable to the player or parent when you decide to return your uniform upon your departure from our club, in excellent condition, back to Jumpshot Basketball Academy.
All uniforms must be in excellent condition and include both the jersey top and shorts in order to be eligible for your deposit refund.
Lost uniforms or returning partial parts of the uniform (i.e. returning just the top and not the shorts or vice versa) will not be eligible for a refund.
It is the responsibility of each player to ensure the care of their uniform by washing their uniforms as needed and ensuring the physical integrity of their uniforms.
Players who forget to bring their uniform to each competitive game, will not be playing that particular game. Do not forget to bring your entire uniform to each game.
Jumpshot Basketball Academy game time uniforms are only to be worn at exhibition games or tournament games when players are representing Jumpshot Basketball Academy's program, enrolled in a tournament or exhibition game by the Jumpshot Basketball Academy program manager and with the consent and approval from our Programs Manager(s). 
Any parent, player, customer or visitor observed or reported to Jumpshot Basketball Academy wearing or using our company game uniforms (jersey top and shorts) for exhibition or tournament games without the consent of Jumpshot Basketball Academy's Program Manager(s) will result in immediate permenant removal from our basketball program and club.

Enrolled Player(s) Injury and Ilness Insurance Waiver Forms Policy
​All parents and customers must complete our injury and illness waiver form before the start date of each camp; for their player(s). It is a mandatory requirement in order for your player to participate in any of our basketball program activities (this includes weekly practices, any tournament level games and participation in one-on-one private coaching).
Any player or parent who does not sign our injury and illness waiver form, prior to the commencement of any of our basketball program activities, will not be allowed to participate in our basketball program in any form or fashion.
Failure or refusal to not complete our insurance 
waiver form will result in immediate removal from our basketball program and a refund for the basketball camp you registered for will be provided to you.
If any player shows up to any Jumpshot Basketball activities, without signing this injury or illness waiver, your player will not be allowed to participate in our basketball activities in any form or fashion.
Risk of Injury Waiver, Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims & Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement policy

Definition: In this agreement, the term Basketball Program and/or Activities shall include all activities in any way directly or indirectly related to the player identification I am participating in, but shall not be limited to warming up, playing, watching, receiving instruction or being coached. Jumpshot Basketball Academy's basketball program and activities (this includes all weekly practices, one on one coaching and participation in competitive tournament games throughout any day of the week and across BC, Canada and United States on any day of the week)
In consideration of being allowed to participate in Jumpshot Basketball Academy practices, games, one-on-one coaching, classes, events or activities, I acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that the risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist:
1)  By enrolling my child, I ensure that my child is physically and mentally able to participate in all of Jumpshot Basketball Academy training activities. I understand Jumpshot Basketball Academy, employees, representatives, agents, independent contractors working for or in partnership with Jumpshot Basketball Academy, or the property where the session is held and any or all of its officials cannot be held responsible in whole or in part for any accidents, illness or injuries resulting in medical or dental expenses incurred from participation in this program. I hereby release each of them from and against any and all claims, costs, liabilities and injuries incurred while in training. I agree to assume full and complete responsibility for any and all medical bills arising from a player's participation. By signing this release and agreement I acknowledge that I have read and fully understand and agree to all of its terms.
2) I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and
3) I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
4) I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS the Releases, their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event ("RELEASEES"), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law. I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
5)   I ASSUME AND ACCEPT, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ALL RISKS AND DANGERS associated with the Player’s participation in Jumpshot Basketball Academy's basketball program and all basketball activities.
6)  I ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY for understanding and following the rules and safe practices associated with the Jumpshot Basketball Academy's Activities and for the Player’s personal safety.
7)  I WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS against Jumpshot Basketball Academy and its agents, representatives, coaches, players and volunteers arising from or connected with, directly or indirectly, the Player’s presence at, or participation in, Jumpshot Basketball Academy's basketball programs and activities.
8)  I RELEASE Jumpshot Basketball Academy from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury, illness or expense that the Player or I may suffer or incur by reason of the Player’s presence at, or participation in,  Jumpshot Basketball Academy's basketball programs and activities , due to any cause whatsoever, INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF JUMPSHOT BASKETBALL ACADEMY'S, OR OTHER PARTICIPANTS, OR ANYONE ELSE.

Consent and Hold Harmless Waiver Policy
A risk of injury or illness is inherent in the nature of the activities related to Jumpshot Basketball Academy's basketball program and activities (this includes all Sunday and Friday weekly practices, one-on-one coaching and participation in competitive tournament games across Canada and United States on any day of the week) and may occur without fault on the part of the participant, Jumpshot Basketball Academy, its employees or agents, or the facility where the activity is taking place across BC, Canada and the United States. By participating in Jumpshot Basketball Academy's basketball program and activities, parents and participants are agreeing that the activity they are taking part in is suitable for the participant in question, that a possible risk of injury associated with participation does exist and that they hold harmless the Jumpshot Basketball Academy, its employees or agents and the facility where the activity is taking place.
Player Photo & Video Release Policy
​Jumpshot Basketball Academy may use the photographs and videos on our website and social media platforms described as Jumpshot Basketball Academy for any legal use, including but not limited to: publicity, copyright purposes, illustration, advertising, social media and web content.
No royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable to any player, parent, customer or family member by reason of such use.
Each player and parent will provide their consent allow or refuse their players photos or videos to be taken during camp or game sessions at the time of registration.
Parent/Player Bullying and Harassment Policy
All enrolled players, parents, visitors or customers will not engage in the bullying and harassment of other players, parents, coaches or program managers at any time and must comply with this written policy at all times.
Any enrolled players, parents, visitors or customers found to be guilty of bullying or harassment (after an internal investigation) towards other players and parents, our coaches or program managers will be subject to immediate permenant removal from our basketball program.

Examples of Bullying and Harassment:
Bullying can involve negative physical contact and usually involves repeated incidents or a pattern of behaviour that is intended to intimidate, offend, degrade, or humiliate a particular person or group of people.
Personal harassment is a form of discrimination. Harassment occurs when a person or group is subjected (often repeatedly) to any unsolicited, unwelcome, disrespectful or offensive behaviour that has an underlying sexual, bigoted, ethnic or racial connotation and can be typified as:
Behaviour that is hostile in nature, and/or intends to degrade an individual based on personal attributes, including age, race, nationality, claims, family status, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and/or any other human rights protected grounds.
Unwelcome remarks, jokes, innuendoes, propositions, or taunting about a person’s body, attire, sex or sexual orientation and/or based on religion.
Suggestive or offensive remarks.
Making ffensive jokes or comments of a sexual nature about an staff member or coach.
Unwelcome language related to gender.
Leering (suggestive persistent staring at someone in a form of intimidating facial expressions). Using aggressive, malicious, or mocking facial expressions to demean or scare someone.
Any actions that create a hostile, intimidating or offensive workplace. This may include physical, verbal, written, graphic, or electronic means.
Any threats of physical violence that endangers the health and safety of our coaches or staff
Racial/ethnic harassment or comment which causes humiliation to an employee because of their racial or ethnic background, their color, place of birth, citizenship or ancestry. 
Unwelcome remarks, jokes or innuendos about a person's racial or ethnic origin, color, place of birth, citizenship or ancestry, displaying racist or derogatory pictures or other offensive material, insulting gestures or practical jokes based on racial or ethnic grounds which create awkwardness or embarrassment and refusing to speak to or work with someone or treating someone differently because of their ethnic or racial background.
Parent/Player Cyber-Bullying Policy
Cyberbullying involves the use of information and communication technologies including but not limited to email, cell phone and text message, camera phones, instant message, defamatory personal websites, social media platforms; to support deliberate, repeated and hostile behavior by an individual or group that is intended to harm others. It involves using technology to spread gossip, secrets or rumors about another person that will damage that person’s reputation.
Forms of cyberbullying can be through: emails, websites, social networks or platforms (facebook, X, whatsapp, snapchat, instagram, youtube, twitter and blogs), cellular phones (texting), live chats and blogs and online gaming systems.
Any player, parent, customer, volunteer or visitor caught, reported or suspected of cyberbullying of any coaches or program managers, including opposing teams, players, associations and leagues, will be immediately and permanently removed from our basketball program.
Parent/Player Violence Policy
Jumpshot Basketball Academy and it coaches and program managers will not tolerate any form of verbal or written intimidation, threats and acts of violence at any time, from parents, players, visitors or customers; and will make every effort to prevent violence and threats of violence from occurring. 
Parents, players, visitors or customers who commit these acts outside the workplace, but which impact our basketball program are also violating this policy. The health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, is Jumpshot Basketball Academy’s foremost concern. 
Any parents, players, visitors or customers who do not comply with this policy will be immediately and permanently removed from our basketball program.
Any employee who has a reasonable cause to believe that he or she is at risk of injury from any form of intimidation, threat and/or act of violence will report to the owner immediately to resolve their concern.
