"As a single father of three children, I did not have enough funds to enroll my eldest son in basketball or even in any basketball school on the Island. A sport my son adores and absolutely loves playing whole-heartedly. I one day decided to approach and request the program manager of the club, Gagan, if I could please pay in installments for their 8 week basketball club. I promised him that every penny would be accounted for and if he could give my son a chance to play with his club. After hearing my plea and story, he made me a face-to-face deal and said, "promise me that your boy, each and every practice, will put his 100% in to be the best on the court. He will be first to show up to practice and the last one to leave. Promise me that you will dedicate your time towards your son's passion. Do we have a deal?" We shook hands after that moment; a year went by and Gagan did not charge me a single dime. Today, my son is the leading point scorer and captain of their U16 tournament team."
